What is this nonsense? "Allegedly" is doing a hell of a lot of heavy lifting here. MOST of the people they have kidnapped and trafficked to a concentration camp (all three of those terms are accurate, by definition) did not have any criminal background at all. The only way you would KNOW that they had ties to a gang is due process, which they were not given.

Even then, deportation is a LEGAL action to send someone back to the country of origin. It is illegal, according to the Constitution, to send anyone to a foreign prison, least of all without an actual conviction.

This is slimy maga nonsense with no basis in reality. Straight up Fox news level fearmongering. Take this crap somewhere else.

you exaggerate. all they want I due process. and also, THE AMERICAN WAY. a certain AMOUNT of innocence till proven guilty. Even if the world is what it is. We have enough assholes in our country to deal with it. We dont have to turn into COMPLETE assholes. What a load of right wing propaganda. NATIONA SECURITY. Whose?????? whose. national security is hurt by the wanting NOT TO SEND innocents to torturous jails. Usual bullshit.

So is your commentary based on what the administration has told us or do you have evidentiary support for your argument that the ACLU is infact wasting their time? It is my understanding more than 75% of the individuals that were detained and sent to El Salvador had no arrest on record and more than 90% of those with an arrest record were arrested for nonviolent crimes.

It sounds like you are regurgitating the unsubstantiated talking points of the current administration. Statistically immigrants, documented or otherwise, have committed less crimes than natural born citizens and are less likely to commit a crime out of fear of deportation. Do you truly believe the majority of immigrants here are criminals? To be clear no one is saying there aren’t some bad apples but what we are saying is this argument is rooted in something more insidious.

Just because you say something doesn’t make it true.
