Donald Trump SURVIVES ASSASINATION ATTEMPT at Pennsylvania rally
Former President Donald J. Trump was shot while speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania. The incident occurred today during a campaign event in Butler, where Trump was rumored to be making an announcement about his Vice Presidential pick ahead of the Republican National Convention.
Sounds of gunshots rang out about five minutes into Trump's speech, which began around 6 p.m. sending the former president to the ground, with Secret Service agents quickly jumping in to cover him. Reports suggest that Trump was grazed in the ear.
In response to the incident, the Secret Service implemented protective measures and rushed Trump offstage to safety. Trump was later taken to a local hospital for a check-up, and his campaign released a statement saying that he was "fine."
President Joe Biden has received an "initial briefing" on the incident.
